59 years ago, on July 9, 1960, the Government Committee of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam issued Decree No. 26-CP on the establishment of Vietnam Tourism Company, the precursor of Vietnam Tourism. Through the process of formation and development, it has acknowledged great efforts and efforts of cadres, civil servants, employees of the whole tourism industry.

In recent years, the tourism industry has received great attention from the State and has achieved impressive achievements. In 2018, Vietnam tourism welcomed 15,497,791 visitors, an increase of 19.9% ​​compared to 2017. In the first six months of 2019, there were nearly 8.5 million international visitors to Vietnam, an increase of 7.5% over the same period in 2018.
