Ba Na Hills tourism area is built at the top of Ba Na hill, about 1,487m high.
Ba Na Hill, belonging to the Truong Son range, is 30km west of the centre of Da Nang. It is one of the highest mountains in Central Viet Nam, 1,487m high, with a year-round cool climate.
Seeing the advantages of Ba Na Hill, in 2007, Sun Group invested and built Ba Na Hills entertainment area which transformed Ba Na into one of the most impressive destinations in Da Nang with many unique French-inspired architectural projects with a world-class modern cable car system.
A world-class modern cable car system takes tourists to the top of Ba Na safely and conveniently.
Tourists visit the French-style village, which is the most impressive work of Ba Na Hills with ancient European architecture.
From Lau Chuong, tourists can see the panorama of the French-style village in clouds.
The church that was originally built using French architecture is the centre of the French-style village.
Previously, in order to reach the top of Ba Na, visitors would experience 15km of rocky and dangerous mountain roads. Now it takes only 30 minutes by cable car.
Getting off the cable car, we were welcomed with cool weather, moderate sun, wind and clouds. Clouds are flying and creeping into the buildings, so close that you can easily touch them.
Standing at the top of Ba Na Hill, we felt to be in a fairyland of the earth. Anxieties and difficulties are gradually replaced by cheerful feelings in the vast clouds.
We began our trip in Ba Na from Le Jardin d’Amour flower garden with thousands of blooming flowers along the way. The place is arranged artfully and divided into many areas such as the dreamy stream garden and love garden.

When going to Ba Na Hills, tourist will have an opportunity to enjoy music and special performances of street artists from many counties in the world.
After leaving beautiful Le Jardin d’Amour garden, we went to the French-style village. It is considered the village in the clouds, one of the most impressive parts of Ba Na Hills. The village is built with ancient buildings, a square, church and hotel. Walking in the village makes us feel like being in a French village of the twentieth century at the top of Ba Na.
It is lucky we came here on the day of the beer festival. Taking free fresh beer and going to the street festival of artists from many parts of the world make us feel like we are in a European festival.
When going to Ba Na Hills, visitors also have an opportunity to explore Lau Chuong, a unique Buddhist monument at the top of Ba Na. This place has a one ton copper bell which was cast very well. From Lau Chuong, the French village can be seen in the distance in clouds, far away from Da Nang, sparkling in the golden sunshine of the deep blue ocean.
At night, Ba Na becomes quiet and sparkles magically. Temperature on the mountain will be as cold as the winter. Lights from Da Nang gradually appear warming up the cold night of the “city in the clouds.”
In 2013, Ba Na cable car was given 4 world records by The Guinness World Records: the world’s longest cable car, the world-highest gap between the arrival station and departure station, the world longest joint-free cable, and the world heaviest cable coil. |
