Introduction

A journey to the North Vietnam does always start in the capital of Viet Nam - Ha Noi, placed in the centre of the fertilized Red river delta which dominates the landscape. To the Northeast and Northwest of Ha Noi, close to the border with China, you can take trekking or mountain biking tours deep into the highland where is home to many of Viet Nam’s ethnic minorities; to East of Ha Noi you can enjoy a peaceful cruise among thousands of beautiful limestone islands in the world’s most dramatic seascape of Ha Long Bay.

DAY 01: HANOI ARRIVAL ( D)

Afternoon: Meet on arrival at Noi Bai International Airport and transfer Hanoi for check in hotel.

Hanoi , Vietnam's capital, is a stylish and gracious city that retains an unique old world charm and some Asia ‘s most striking colonial architecture. The many lakes and parks make for relaxing atmosphere. Have dinner at restaurant

Evening: Free at leisure. Overnight at hotel

DAY 02: HANOI – LAO CAI ( B/L/D)

Moring: Have breakfast at hotel. Have a full day tour of Hanoi. Hanoi is a unique city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental temples Drive to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where the embalmed body of President Ho Chi Minh is kept, One Pillar Pagoda which was built of wood on a single stone pillar in 1049, The Temple of Literature - the first University of Vietnam set up in 1076 to educate mandarin’s sons, Hoan Kiem Lake, an enchanting body of water right in the heart of Ha Noi, Ngoc Son Temple - Tran Quoc Pagoda – one of the oldest Pagoda in Vietnam, West Lake – The biggest lake in Hanoi. Have lunch at restaurant.

Afternoon: Proceed to visit Ethnological Museum- it offers an insight into the 54 different ethnic groups of Vietnam in an effort to preserve cultural heritage and promote socio-cultural diversity within the country ; after that take 1 hour cycle tour (Xich Lo tour) to visit old quarter streets to find out daily life of Hanoi people. Have dinner at restaurant.

Evening: We will transfer to Tran Quy Cap railway station to catch night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train.

DAY 03: LAO CAI- SAPA- LAO CHAI AND TA VAN VILLAGE (B/L/D)

Morning: Arrive at Lao Cai railways station around 5.30 AM. Bus and local guide welcome and then transfer to Sa pa for have breakfast at restaurant and then Drive to Lao Chai Village, trekking down the valley to Ta Van village where the Zay ethnic minority hill tribe lives to visit members of the Zay tribe. Stop here for lunch.

Afternoon: Continuing to trek to Cau May ( Cloud Bridge) where car picks up and transfer to Su Pan. From here you will have the opportunity to visit and explore the wooden houses, which traditionally belong to the Tay&Zday Ethnic Minority. Have dinner at restaurant.

Evening: Free for visit Sa pa at night. Overnight at hotel

DAY 04: CAT CAT - TA PHIN VILLAGE- LAO CAI ( B/L/D)

Morning: Have breakfast at hotel. Take a 2km light trek to Cat Cat Village- home of Black H’mong ethnics. Meet & talk with local people to learn more about their daily life. Have lunch at restaurant

Afternoon: We continue our trek downhill towards Taphin village where you will meet Red Dzao and Black Hmong minorities, two largest ethnic groups in Sapa area. Stop by a house to talk with local people to know a bit more about their daily life, their customs and tradition. Have dinner at restaurant. Take night train to Ha Noi. Overnight on the train.

DAY 05: HANOI- HALONG ( B/L/D)

Morning; Arrive Ha Noi in early morning, after breakfast transfer to Ha Long bay, one of Vietnam’s greatest natural wonders and was recognized as World’s Natural Heritage by UNESCO. Have lunch at restaurant.

Afternoon: Enjoy a 4 - hour boat excursion by traditional wooden Junk through Ha Long Bay. "Dragon descending to the sea" as the Bay is known in Vietnamese, features of 1969 limestone islets (small islands), many of which contain beautiful grottoes. Stop to visit Dau Go (Wooden Stakes Cave), Thien Cung (Heavenly Palace cave). Continue the journey through the stone dog island, incense Burner Island, and visit the fishing village where the fishermen live permanently. Have dinner at restaurant.

Evening: Free for visit Ha Long night market. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 06: HALONG – HANOI DEPARTURE (B)

Morning: Have breakfast at hotel then we will back to Hanoi for your departure flight
